Iskul Bukol 2011 remake on TV5

The 2011 remake of the classic sitcom Iskul Bukol is set to premiere on TV5.

Members of its cast include Sam YG as Easy Balidosa, one of the notorious twins; Alwyn Uytingco as Chill Balidosa, one of the notorious twins; Joel Saracho as Wanbol University’s Prefect of Discipline Bongbong Bing; Keempee de Leon as teacher’s assistant Wacky Roque; Regine Angeles as the ultra-conservative “probinsyana” Barbie Que; Fred Lo as the good-looking but nerdy Rude Valentino, the youngest professor to teach at Wanbol University; Erika Padilla as the sporty chic Shawie Cunanan; Tess Antonio as Aning Francia, the cafeteria owner; Lao Rodriguez as Pet Jacobo, Aning’s assistant; and Jerald Napoles as the student janitor, Itor. Iskul Bukol premieres on TV5 this coming May 24 at 10PM.

Willing Willie beats TV Patrol in Mega Manila TV ratings

The come-backing team-up of Korina Sanchez and Noli de Castro in ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol did not get the boost it needed to beat the competition as the data from AGB Nielsen in Mega Manila shows that “Willing Willie” of TV5 with host Willie Revillame and the entry of new co-host Shalani Soledad tied with GMA 7‘s 24 Oras in its time slot.

Willing Willie and 24 Oras is tied with11.6 % as against TV Patrol‘s 10.7% viewership among Mega Manila households.

Does this means that the viewing habits as what TV5 predicted will change the viewing habits of most Filipinos in the future? Or is it really in a very near future!
