The 40 official candidates to the 2011 Bb. Pilipinas beauty contest were presented to the media in Pasay City last Tuesday afternoon.
This year’s official candidates are

The 40 candidates will vie for the titles of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Bb. Pilipinas-International. The two winners will represent the country in the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Sao Paolo, Brazil in September; and Miss International in Japan, at a date to be announced later.
Observers have dubbed this year’s batch as the most beautiful in recent years. Among the hopefuls were a basketball player, tricycle driver, commercial models, writers, athletes, students, honor graduates, and singers.
