Jake Cuenca and Roxanne Guinoo reunite in ‘Sa Kanya Pa Rin’

Kapamilya Stars and ex-lovers Roxanne Guinoo and Jake Cuenca grace the next offering of Your Song entitled Sa Kanya Pa Rin along with a controversial plot premiering on November 22 (Sunday).

Roxanne revealed that she is looking forward to work with her ex-boyfriend again.  Excited naman ako to work with Jake again . Matagal-tagal rin kasi kami bago nagkatambal ulit.” When Roxanne was asked if there were scenes that she find it awkward to do with this Jake, She replied, “Wala naman. Magkaibigan naman kasi kami ni Jake kaya wala namang ilangan.”

This project is another break given to both of them  by ABS-CBN and they were very musch thankful to it. “Masaya ako at pinagkatiwalaan na naman ako ng Kapamilya Network sa isa na namang magandang proyekto… and with Roxanne pa.” Jake mentioned that she missed working with his ex-girlfriend ( Roxanne )  in a series. “Namiss ko makatrabaho si Roxanne. Madalas kasi nagkikita lang kami kapag nagkakasalubungan sa hallway at nagbabatian. As far as I can remember, last na pinagsamahan namin is MMK pa.”

To give a little detail of the said project, Sa Kanya Pa Rin zeroes in a controversial story of a married couple namely Monica played by Roxanne Guinoo and Jordan as Jake Cuenca. Confronting their married life was difficult for the young couple due to problems that continually test their relationship. In this Your Song offering, the answer to the question, “Is it possible that the love that was once lost, finds its way again to person you thought you’re over with?” will be disclosed.

Together with Roxanne Jake, are three other stars that will contribute to the flow of the story: Ron Morales, Maxine Eigenmann and Bing Loyzaga.

Your Song Presents Sa Kanya Pa Rin is under the direction of Dondon Cuaresma, starting on November 22, every Sunday, after ASAP’09 on ABS-CBN.

Hollywood Comedian Will Ferrell leads the Top 10 Most Overpaid Stars of 2009 according to Forbes compiled  list of stars who command a high salary but whose movies are box office flops.

Will Ferrell’s films in the last 12 months earn an average of $3.29 for every dollar he was paid. His last film “Land of the Lost” made $49,392,095.00 but the film’s production cost is $100 million making it a major flop for a big-budget summer event film.

Johnny Depp is People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2009

Johnny Depp was the People Magazine front page cover and chosen as the Sexiest Man Alive for this year 2009.

Even non-Twilight fans agree that People’s pick of the year was a shocker for they believe that Robert Pattinson should be the Sexiest Man Alive, at least for 2009, but People Magazine picked Johnny Depp instead and for the record it's the second time for the Pirates of the Caribbean star to clinch that title.

ABS-CBN bagged three prestigious Philippine Quill Awards that serves as a  recognition for its exemplary business communications programs and external and internal stakeholders. Last year 2008 ABS-CBN's annual report provides investors with accurate reporting of its financial and operating performance that won the Award of Merit in the Publications category.

Wanted: Border - Cinema Originals Digital Film Entry

Wanted: Border, is a Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival  for this year 2009. The said movie film was directed by Ray Gibraltar, and starring Rosanna Roces, Kristoffer Rhys Grabato, Sunshine Teodoro, Marisol Alquizar, and Raffy Tejada, here is a ‘dark comedy’ that follows lost people to look for refuge that eventually becomes a nightmare.

Mama Saleng played by the role of Rosana Roses a religious fanatic woman owns a boarding house and eatery. Mama Selang was suspected as Aswang with her grandmother when she was still young . Her thirst for humanity was quenched when she met undercover agent Jessie Beltran during the Martial Law, whose task was to terminate activists in Panay. Mama Selang grew to enjoy the face of death in her hands and totally embraced her childhood epithet of being an aswang. Now her boarders are disappearing one by one. Should her mysterious character be described what she has become can be rooted from traumas she sank into. So does she have something to do with the disappearance of her boarders? Does she butcher them? Is she a carnivore? No one will really know at first. But with a plotline too irresistible, Wanted: Border makes viewers aware what its message is.

On November 13 to 17 Wanted: Border will send shivers when the festival kicks off  Gateway Cinema at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City in part of the 15 Year Anniversary Celebration of Cinema One for being the top movie cable channel in the Philippines. Dolphy  at the of the ABS-CBN will be the venue for the  Awards Night that will be held on November 15.

The other competing movies in the festival are Maximus & Minimus, Paano Ko Sasabihin, Bala Bala at Si Baning Si Maymay at ang asong si Bobo.
