In the 14th Asian Television Awards, Philippines did not won any trophy yet it managed to bring home two runner up honors according to GMA-7.

14th Asian Television Awards
Project Runway Philippines received runner up honors in the Best Adaptation of an Existing Format category. The local franchise of the popular reality program is co-produced by Solar Entertainment, ETC and Unitel Productions. The trophy went to Amazing Race Asia Season 3.

It’s quite ironic that the Philippines was the leading Asian country at the International Emmy Awards this year but got snubbed at the Asian Television Awards. We got 8 nominations but it only produced two runner up honors.

Last year, the Philippines bagged 1 award courtesy of GMA and QTV’s Camera Cafe for Best Comedy Program. RP also received 4 runner up honors last year including the Highly Commended recognition for Terrestrial Broadcaster of the Year courtesy of GMA.

The host country, Singapore, has the lion share of the awards with 12 wins followed by Hong Kong and Japan with 7 trophies each. India got 4 awards while Taiwan, Thailand and Australia brought home 1 trophy each.
